Important Covid-19 Information From Johnny Rowlands
Updated April 5th, 2020
Still very early into the coronavirus precautions and the uncertainties appear to be more numerous than ever. One thing is for sure... this will eventually be over, and I believe we'll know a lot more in the next couple of weeks as to when things might begin to turn around. I hope and pray that it's sooner than later... for the sake of all of us.
Meanwhile, we are hearing from a lot of you wondering if it's safe to reserve a seat now for a future class, or if it would be better to wait until there is definitive information on when the restrictions may be lifted, or at least relaxed, and we know for certain when we can resume teaching our course.
Right now we think the smart thing to do to is to go ahead and reserve a seat now by paying only the $100 deposit, as we believe once things begin to turn around the pent up demand may be released all at once and classes will sell out quickly. You can enroll in any spring or summer class, so if you'd prefer to play it safe, you can enroll your student in a July or August class, or any class through the end of the year for that matter. And, by paying just $100 and not the full course price, you will have a minimum amount invested should the restrictions be prolonged, forcing us reschedule classes.
As far as how all this plays out, I fully expect that restrictions will not be lifted all at once, but will instead be relaxed one-by-one over a period of time. Given that probable scenario, we have prepared contingency plans in order to take advantage of any moves toward normalcy, even if the relief from restrictions comes slowly. Right now we know the Kansas City area County-wide restrictions are due to expire late this month, so for now we have left our Classroom Sessions on the schedule as-is. We are also planning to resume driving instruction at that time as well.
Having said all that, I must admit I would not be at all surprised if the orders were extended, but that, of course, is pure speculation. For now we'll just stick to the facts and play by the rules the County and State have put in place. Full compliance is our duty and obligation, and the last thing I would ever do is try to stretch the rules with the potential of putting your student, as well as your family, friends and neighbors, at risk.
I will continue to update this often, so I invite you to check back regularly for the latest information.
Take care out there.
