Typically, but not always, the time needed to complete all 3 two-hour lessons is directly proportionate to the amount of practice driving students have accumulated before taking their first driving lesson with us.  Students with little or no time behind the wheel will need more practice time between lessons and may take up to 8 weeks or more to finish the course. Others with more practice time may be able to complete their lessons in 3 to 6 weeks.

Each Block Contains All The Time And Date Information You Need To Mark Your Schedule Without Having To Cross Reference The Times And Dates In The Margins

Instructions For Filling Out The Scheduling Sheet

  • Your schedule is entered by the total number of hours you drive, not by the number of lessons.

  • As indicated in the illustration, each block represents an hour of time.

  • The middle space between the hourly times represents the half-hour.

  • The number in the middle space is the date, which makes it easy to identify which row you're scheduling without having to refer to the date at the beginning and end of each row

  • You enter your schedule by blocking off the entire number of hours you want to be available for students to schedule their lessons with you.

  • As in the first example, the instructor has scheduled 2 hours of availability for1 two-hour lesson starting on the hour at 10A and ending on the hour at Noon on the 5th of the month

  • On the second example, the instructor has scheduled 4 hours of availability for 2 two-hour lessons starting on the half-hour at 9:30A and ending on the half hour at 1:30P on the 12th of the month.

What That Means During Enrollment

The State of Kansas requires proof of legal residence in the U.S. and proof of Kansas Residency, which must come from only from documents approved by the State (scroll to the bottom of the page for the approved documents list). You must use the exact information from approved documents for this part of the enrollment form, as you will be asked to present those documents at the Drivers License Exam Station when getting the State Photo Permit.

Here's why it's important to enter the information only from an approved document, and to do it accurately.

We enter the student's legal name and address from this form into the Kansas State portal, from which all State Permits and Drivers Licenses will be generated, which includes the State issued Drivers Ed Paper Permit that we issue at the end of our classroom session. When students take that permit to the Drivers License Exam Station to exchange for the State Photo Permit, they will be asked to present the approved documents to compare with the information they show in the portal. If it does not match, they will not issue the permit. That permit is one of the big benefits of taking Drivers Ed, as it allows students to bypass the written test at the Drivers License Exam Station when getting their State Photo Permit.

The State requires students to show proof of legal residence and proof of Kansas Residency before issuing a State Permit or Restricted License, and they will accept only certain specific documents to provide that information (click here, or scroll to the bottom of the page to see a list of approved documents). Be sure you use information from approved documents when filling out this part of the enrollment form, and be sure it matches that information EXACTLY as shown on the documents. Want to know why it's so important?

on be sure the information comes from an approved document, tove they are in the country legally a

As part of the enrollment process, you will be required to enter the student's legal name and address, and the State has mandated that information comes ONLY from a specific list of approved documents. Scroll to the bottom of this page, or click HERE to see a printable list of State Approved Documents.
After you choose an approved document, be sure you enter the information EXACTLY as it appears on the document, as the State will use that information to verify the student is legally residing in the United States, and that they are a legal resident of the State Of Kansas. Also, be sure to retain the documents you use as you will need to present those same documents at the Driver License Exam Station at a later time. To further understand

HERE'S THE MOST IMPORTANT ENROLLMENT INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW!!
The Student's Legal Name And Address Required On This Form Is Used By The State To Verify Both State And Federal Residency Requirements, And Must Match The Information On Documents You Will Be Required To Present When Getting The State Permit And Subsequent Restricted License (See A List Of State Approved Documents At The Bottom Of This Page). Be Sure The Information You Enter Here EXACTLY MATCHES THE APPROVED DOCUMENTS YOU WILL BE PRESENTING AT THE DRIVER'S LICENSE EXAM STATION. If They DO NOT MATCH, The Driver's License Exam Station WILL NOT ACCEPT THEM, And WILL NOT ISSUE A Permit Or Restricted License.

As a driving school approved and licensed by the State of Kansas, not only are we charged with teaching our students everything they need to know to pass the State written and driving test, but we also act as a surrogate for the State by administering those tests as well.  has licensed us to act as their surrogate for

  • The State of Kansas requires each student to fill out State Form DE99 in person at the beginning of the Classroom Session to ensure the student meets the eligibility requirements to attend the class, as well as obtain a permit and/or license in the State.

  • To determine the legitimacy of a student's legal name and address, the State requires students to bring to class copies of documents showing legal residency in the United States, as well as proof of Kansas residency.

  • Once the DE-99 has been completed, we submit it to the State, which in turn officially opens the student's permanent State driving record.

  • Although we administer both the written and driving tests, which eliminates testing at the Drivers License Exam Station, students still need to make an appointment there to be issued their State permit or license, at which time you must present the same documents used to complete the DE-99 in class.

  • If the student's legal name and address do not match the documents you present, you will not be issued the permit or license you are applying for.

We have found that gathering the DE-99 information in advance greatly improves the chances of avoiding a mismatch of legal name and address issues, and almost eliminates errors being entered into the State system.

The DE-99 also contains questions that are somewhat sensitive regarding any medical issues the student may have, as well as medications they may be taking, both prescription and over-the-counter.

  • The State requires you to provide us with Documentation Of Legal Residency in the United States, as well as Proof of Residency in the State of Kansas, and that documentation may come only from specific State approved documents.

  • The first section of the enrollment form will take you step by step through the process of choosing the documents you will use, and will also ensure that the information is accurately entered into this enrollment form.

  • The form contains a series of State Mandated Medical Questions that include what medical conditions the student may have, as well as what medications the student may be taking, and we will give you guidance on the form as to what conditions and medications should be included.

  • At the beginning of class, students will be required to fill out an Application For A Drivers Education Permit (KS form DE-99), which is required by all students whether they have a State Permit or not. Much of the information we gather on the enrollment form pertains to the questions on the form, and students will be provided with a copy of the answers you have provided as a reference when filling out the DE-99 form.
